  • Missing waypoints and some corrected one for Air Navigation pro programme running on the iPad.

iPadThe latest delivered Air navigation pro from Xample has missing informations and errors for some data.

Some NDB and VOR in France, Belgium, UK and Spain are missing, and some others are still appearing, while not active anymore (GRB and GUY at Guernsey, NO at Pamplona for example).

Air Navigation

Until Xample release an update, you may download the file " Air Navigation user wayoint 2012-05-17 " as a Text file  or as an Excel file and import it in Air Navigation pro within your user waypoint file.

The data in this file are used for real flights, but please check carefully as the file may still have possible mistakes or oversights.(Using these waypoints is at your own risk).

  • Free AIP aeroplates to be downloaded and then installed in Air Navigation.

AeroVac

Simple, powerfull, easy to configure and to use programme, allowing to downlad all French AIP aerocharts and to prepare them for being installed in Air Navigation (in French only but with an automatic translator you will get through): http://www.v2air.fr

Pstevens 6From West to East and from North to South, Philip Stevens, aviation photographer, captures in his shots and shares with us flying machines from worldwide locations.

Military aircrafts of all eras and civilian aircrafts before the 60's are his favourite.

His pictures illustrate the online magazine "Air Force Review", for which he is one of the editors.

Bed Time Aviation by Rob Gonsalves

Magical elements blended with real world or real world blended with magical elements ?

This is magic realism, well illustrated by Rob Gonsalves drawing "Bed time Aviation", in which indeed, magical world and magic of flying are intimately linked together.

Movie about Spitfire and JU 52 PDF Print E-mail

Spit LFLU 01Spitfires, and a junker JU52 who wants maybe to be taken for a Ford Trimotor; male pilots almost no macho, a matchless 5 stars hotel buttler played by John Malkovitch; and a sexy female pilot slightly provocative.

Which pilot has never dreamed about flying a spitfire, trying to fight the tights, that a glamorous young lady pilot, carelessly throw from the window of her plane?

Humor, mythic planes, fluidity of the pictures and controls,  adventure and action movie music.

No it is not a great history, but an advertisement to launch the Spitfire watches from IWC.

click on image to start iwc movieMaybe or maybe not an anthology advertisement, but with no doubt nice planes and pictures to fill the eyes.

coeurLa Fiancée du pilote, is, a very probably  true story!.....; which will remind to most of our ladies or to our partners......, their first encounter with a pilot... and then their first flight ......
Of course when she will wish, she will relate the next steps. Enjoy !
